Let’s talk “Adjustment Period” for first time shampoo bar users!
There’s often a transition period as you switch from your regular commercial liquid shampoo to a natural shampoo bar. As our natural shampoo bars don’t contain harsh cleansers such as sodium laurel sulfate, which strip oils and some of the coatings off of hair (usually before adding a new dose of silicone), it may take up to a couple weeks for synthetic coatings to work their way out of your hair. Also, our scalps can produce excess sebum in response to the natural oils being stripped away by commercial shampoos. Sebum production will gradually return to normal as you use a gentle shampoo bar.
Your hair literally has to “learn” how to live without the chemicals.
Directions for Use: Moisten the bar with some water then apply bar directly from scalp to ends of hair using a rubbing motion, or alternatively rub between hands to create a generous lather. Gently massage the lather into scalp and hair, as you would with a liquid shampoo. Rinse out thoroughly and repeat the shampooing process once or twice for a deeper clean. Follow by applying conditioner to mid-lengths and ends of hair if some additional nourishment is required. Leave shampoo bar out to air dry, ready for its next use.
Warning: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not ingest.
